As the sun rose on the 11th International Yoga Day, Saraswati World School radiated with energy, purpose, and inner peace. The campus echoed the timeless wisdom of yoga—India’s ancient path to harmony—through a dynamic and deeply immersive celebration that brought together students, educators, and thought leaders under one spiritual umbrella.
🌅 Igniting the Day with Tradition

The International Yoga Day celebration began on a soulful note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, signifying knowledge, purity, and positivity. Principal Mrs. Shyamasree Biswas garlanded the Late Saraswati Devi, a graceful homage to learning and enlightenment.
“Yoga is not just about bending your body—it’s about shaping your life,” she said, delivering a powerful message on how yoga fosters mindfulness, mental clarity, and emotional resilience in our technology-driven lives.
💫 Students Shine in a Display of Grace and Discipline
The school grounds came alive as students performed a synchronised yoga demonstration featuring key asanas like Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Surya Namaskar. The International Yoga Day event beautifully captured the discipline, calm, and focus that yoga instils in young minds.
Adding a touch of modernity, a projector-guided session was organised where students and teachers followed a curated set of pranayama and breathing exercises, enhancing their understanding of yoga beyond physical postures.
🗣️ Voices of Insight and Inspiration
In short yet insightful speeches, students reflected on yoga’s Vedic origins, its evolution through Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and its role in contemporary wellness. They highlighted how yoga offers relief from modern stressors, improves immunity, and nurtures inner peace.
🙏 A Closing Note of Wisdom
The principal concluded the International Yoga Day with a motivational address, urging the community to embrace yoga as a lifelong companion.
“Yoga is India’s gift to the world. It brings balance to our lives, discipline to our minds, and strength to our spirits. Let’s honor it daily.”
A collective meditation session marked the end of the celebration, grounding participants in a moment of silence, breath, and reflection.
